the employee handbook is not a contract and does not need to be signed or agreed to by your staff. you can ask staff members to sign an acknowledgement to show that they received it, but it’s not legally required.

note that, if included, the environmental policy must be signed by someone in senior management (eg a managing director, chairperson or chief executive). the person signing the policy is known as the ‘signatory’.
